Drivers for the Russels and Jubilee Social Clubs

If you can spare some time to transport our elderly members to one of the centres, please get in touch.

Our 9 seater minibus can be driven with a standard car licence, so if you did not want to use your own car, or are happy to transport more than one person, this could be an option for you. We also have 12 seater minibuses for volunteer drivers with a D1 licence.

The Commitment

Minibus drivers and escorts:

• Collect Minibus from the Social Club 9.00 am or 3pm. as little or as often as volunteer is prepared to give, ideally once a week. Time for each journey depending on road works 1-2 hours.

Car drivers:

• Collect client/s from their home to bring to the Social Club for approx. 9.30am or

• Collect client/s from Social Club at 3pm to take them home.

• As little as once a week.

• Length of journey depending on how far the client/s live from the social clubs and whether they are happy to take more than one client at a time.

• Drivers will require an enhanced police check, which is completed through the GVS, so no need to apply for the standard police disclosure.

• Volunteers use their own cars.
