Long Service Award Scheme

GVS has a Long Service Award Scheme which is based on the completion of 12 duties of 2 hours’ duration per year.

Platinum Award

30 years of service with a minimum of 360 duties

Gold Award

20 years of service with a minimum of 240 duties

Silver Award

15 years of service with a minimum of 180 duties

Bronze Award

10 years of service with a minimum of 120 duties

Forms & Downloads

Because GVS operates in so many areas across the islands, there is a variety of roles that will appeal to the potential volunteer: regular duties such as a driver for older people, helping at The Russels or Jubilee Social Clubs, joining a Meals on Wheels team, or the occasional duty such as helping with the annual GVS flag day, assisting at one of our rest tents, or helping at a fundraising event.

All volunteers will need to complete one of our registration forms and supply a police clearance certificate.

The Jubilee Social Club at Jubilee House at Grandes Maison Road, St. Sampson is open from 9 am to 3.00 pm Mondays to Fridays.
