Meals on Wheels

Drivers and helpers. We deliver approximately 25,000 meals per year and to do this we require drivers and helpers between 10.15 am and approximately 1.15 pm six days a week, Monday to Saturday. 4 rounds go out each day from the Princess Elizabeth Hospital. Volunteers go out in pairs, leaving the PEH at 10.30 am and returning approximately 2½ hours later, although volunteers are asked to be aware that, should there be a problem with an elderly person, the round could take longer. Duties are on a rota basis, organised by the Team Leaders. It is up to each volunteer to decide how often they wish to do a duty - most people do a duty once every four weeks, but some do every week.

Car washing rota - We have 4 cars to clean approximately once a month - the cars are based in St Martin and can be taken to a nearby car wash for exterior washing. approx. 45 min to 1hour per car. Volunteers can decide to do this as frequently as they like and either 1 or 2 cars at a time.
